KORN Frontman To Appear At Chicago's Wrigley Field
May 18, 2006KORN are putting the value back in "Family Values" with $9.99 lawn tickets for this summer's Family Values Tour which starts July 27. To mark the occasion, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis will make a special appearance outside Wrigley Field in Chicago after the Cubs Thursday afternoon (May 18) game. At the parking lot event (south parking lot of McDonald's, adjacent to Wrigley Field),Davis will pass out thousands of dollars in cash (ten dollar bills),CDs, t-shirts and Family Values concert tickets. This event will be preceded by the following appearances earlier in the day: Davis acoustically performing the band's hit single "Coming Undone" for the first time ever on live radio on "Mancow's Morning Madhouse" (Q101); and Davis throwing out the first pitch at Wrigley Field during the Cubs vs. Nationals game (approximately 12:45 p.m.).
KORN headlined the first Family Values tour in 1998, with later editions going out in 1999 and 2001.
In addition to KORN, the main stage lineup for this summer's version features co-headliners the DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF and Japanese band DIR EN GREY.
KORN's critically acclaimed seventh album "See You on the Other Side" (EMI/Virgin) entered the Billboard pop albums chart at No. 3, marking KORN's sixth top five entry on this chart. The disc features the hit singles "Coming Undone" and "Twisted Transistor".
